Rules & Guidelines
|
|
The proceedings and formats of presentation at Eureka2009 will be governed by the following set of rules & guidelines:
Rules- General & Preliminary Round:
- Area of focus both for paper & Projects will be embedded systems and its applications in multiple disciplines.
- Maximum team size for project is 2
- Maximum team size for paper presentation is 1
- Size of abstract being uploaded should not be more than 500 words
- The decision of the judges will be final & binding
- Teams must note that the short listing status of the abstracts may change by the time we arrive at the final list, this is because the ratings will be relative
Rules for final Presentation:
- Paper Presentation Teams are requested to carry a poster representing their idea on A-1 sheet
- Project Teams are required to carry models if any for the final presentation
- Projects will have to be executed in front of the Judges
- Maximum presentation time will be 35-mins; buzzer will be rung at 30-min
- There will be queries from the Judges panel comprising Industry specialists
Facilities in the Presentation hall:
- System with Windows-XP, MS-Office,Turbo
C, CD-ROM, USB Interface, Matlab
- System with Fedora Core 5, GCC Compiler, Open office, CD-ROM, USB Interface, Matlab
- LCD Projector with screen
- Pointer light pen
- Cord less mike
- Spikes with multiple power points to power the models if any
- Participants will have Lunch & dinner at the venue itself
- A proper time-schedule will be available to the teams indicating their time of presentation
Guidelines:
- Teams must carry their own power adapters in case their project hardware requires one
- The abstract must contain: Title, description & approach, analysis & feasibility
- Teams must try to be clear & precise in their description. A point wise approach where ever feasible is appreciated
- Paper Presentation will be judged on: Innovativeness, Research & knowledge on subject, analysis & conclusion and presentation skills.
- Posters representing Paper presentation will be honored for expressiveness & clarity
- Project work will be judged on: Innovativeness, Viability, effectiveness & execution, analysis and presentation
- All projects will have to be demonstrated in front of the judges to show them in working condition
